Its 2025 and I have been reading (10 books) to be quite frank I always read and have been reading all my life but For the first time I am actively documenting my reading and giving reviews. I planned to give this reviews in a tabular manner but I have not quite fine tuned that yet so for now. Please see my book reviews and please comment.

1. Friendship By Design

This one was not only written by my husband and his cousin and so of course I’ve read it multiple times, it was edited by yours truly. I have to admit not only is it a great book, it’s very easy to read and a fantastic coffee table book. It addresses friendship in a way that makes you understand your worth and how to invest properly in the right friends. I highly recommend.

2.The Seven Year Slip

This book is one of the most delicious pieces of literature I have come across in recent years.  It’s take on love and “perfect timing” is so refreshing. I enjoyed the fantastical aspects of the book and yes I shall reread it in this lifetime God willing. It has a time loop or I it time travel I don’t know but its so well done it doesn’t create an unnecessary build up of stress. I absolultry love this book Highly recommend.

  • Book cover: Okay
  • Cost : I was gifted
  • Content : Absolutly breathtaking

3.The Sheperds King Duology

This duology was nice I read both books back to back and whilst I initially really appreciated the story I got tired. The second book was paced so slowly I literally skipped the middle and went to the final page. Authors work hard and I feel bad whenever a book looses me because I know that’s not the author’s intention but geez this book dragged . I appreciated the magical and fatastixL spects of the book and I love how it all tied in nicely with the local mythology of the people to create quite the plot twist. I recommend.

  • Book cover: Perfect
  • Cost : Fair
  • Content :  Lovely
  • Spice: Minimal
4. A Renewed Kind of Love.

When your favourite author calls you answer. I got this book in 2024 read it then and read it again in January because I can. This story made me realize I may not be as forgiving as I think I am.  A lovely story of redemption pain and repair. As well as keeping. a grudge. Fantastic story and to crown it all love won. One thing this author always gets is love between more mature people and it works for me all the time. Na the love is juicy and mature. I highly recommend.

  • Content : Raw, mature Heartwarming
  • Spice: Medium
5. Bonus Chapters

These chapters are too few to form a sequel but it filled in the gaps and answered questions I didn’t even know I had. They also gave grace to a character I didn’t ordinarily think deserved it. It was a beautiful crown to a fantastic piece of fiction. I super recommend

7. Brown Roses

A Christian based story of healing, pain loss, and of. Course love.  This book almost put me in a bad place not because it was boring but confronting pain and reliving horror on that scale was e haunting for me. I don’t do well with people who dwell in guilt. And so I almost DNFed. Thank God I stayed thought the end was much better than the middle. I wish there was more romance though. I have already bought the second book in the series ( I absolutely love a romance series) I recommend.
